It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 as U.S. Post Office and Federal Building–Cañon City Main.[1] It has also been known as the Cañon City Main Post Office.[3] Architecturally, it is a rigidly symmetrical building that is "an extremely late example of Italian Renaissance Revival" style. Its front facade features seven arches, one over the front entrance and the others over windows.[2] References1. ^1 {{NRISref|version=2010a}} {{National Register of Historic Places}}{{DEFAULTSORT:US Post Office and Federal Building-Canon City Main}}{{Colorado-NRHP-stub}}2. ^1 {{cite web|url={{NRHP url|id=86000167}}|title=National Register of Historic Places Inventory/Nomination: Cañon City Post Office and Federal Building / Cañon City Main Post Office|publisher=National Park Service|author=Paul R.
