}}Cerconota tricharacta is a moth of the Depressariidae family. It is found in Brazil (Amazonas) and French Guiana.[1] The wingspan is 19–21 mm. The forewings are greyish-ochreous or light fuscous, sometimes tinged purplish towards the dorsum anteriorly, the costal edge whitish-ochreous. There are three semi-oval or subtriangular dark fuscous costal spots, the first at one-fourth, small, the others moderate, the second median, the third about four-fifths. The stigmata are faintly darker or obsolete and very small. There is a rather sinuate series of small fuscous dots from the third costal spot to the tornus. There is a marginal series of small dark fuscous dots around the apex and termen. The hindwings are grey, darker in females.[2] References1. ^Anadasmus at Markku Savela's Lepidoptera and Some Other Life Forms {{Wikispecies}}{{Commons}}{{Taxonbar|from=Q22285279}}{{Stenomatinae-stub}}2. ^[https://archive.org/stream/exoticmicrolepid03meyr#page/199/mode/1up Exotic Microlepidoptera 3 (5-7): 199] 2 : Moths described in 1925|Cerconota |
