Ceriadae or Keiriadai ({{lang-grc|Κειριάδαι}}) was a deme of ancient Athens, of the phyle of Hippothontis, sending two delegates to the Athenian Boule.[1] It was located outside of the walls of Themistocles, west of the hill of the Nymphs and west of the Pnyx. In this deme there was the baratharon (βάραθρον), a chasm into which criminals condemned to death were thrown. The site of Ceriadae is west of the Pnyx.[2][3] References1. ^{{cite web|first=Hans|last=Lohmann|publisher=Brill's New Pauly|title=Ceiriadae|url=https://referenceworks.brillonline.com/entries/brill-s-new-pauly/ceiriadae-e611620|accessdate=October 9, 2018}} {{coord|37.972924|N|23.71337|E|display=title|format=dms|source:http://dare.ht.lu.se/places/31140}}{{ancientGreece-stub}}{{Greece-geo-stub}}2. ^{{Cite Barrington|59}} 3. ^{{Cite DARE|31140}} 3 : Populated places in ancient Attica|Former populated places in Greece|Demoi |
