Wilsford is a small village and civil parish in the Vale of Pewsey in the English county of Wiltshire, about {{convert|4|mi|km|0}} southwest of Pewsey.

The Salisbury Avon forms part of the northern boundary of the parish. To the south, beyond the A342 from Devizes to Upavon, the parish extends onto Salisbury Plain.

Local government

Wilsford elects a joint parish council with nearby Charlton St Peter; the council is named Charlton and Wilsford. It falls within the area of the Wiltshire Council unitary authority, which is responsible for all significant local government functions.

Amenities

The 13th-century Church of England parish church of St Nicholas is Grade II* listed.[2]

A school was built in 1848 and educated children of all ages until 1934. The building was demolished after the school closed in 1965; the nearest primary school is at Rushall.[3]

Archaeology

To the west of the village is a henge enclosure known as Wilsford Henge, although it can only be seen as a cropmark in aerial photographs.[4] Excavations of the henge began in 2015.[5]
