Charles Alexander Vaughan Paget, 8th Marquess of Anglesey, 9th Earl of Uxbridge, and 17th Baron Paget of Beaudesert (born 13 November 1950)[1] is a British nobleman. Early lifeHe was educated at Eton and Exeter College, Oxford where he received an M.A. degree, and at the University of Sussex where he obtained his D.Phil. degree. His mother is the writer Dame Shirley Paget, née Morgan.[2] He became the Marquess of Anglesey in 2013 on the death of his father Henry Paget, 7th Marquess of Anglesey.[3][4] Marriage and familyAs Earl of Uxbridge, he married Georgeanne Elizabeth Elliott Downes in 1986; they were divorced in 2011.[4] They have two children:
