  • 146 – Cheb–Tršnice–Luby u Chebu

History

Railway station was built in Neorenaissance style in 1865 designed by Vienna architect Heinrich von Hügel. Since 1870 served for trains connecting Ore Mountains area with Prague run by a private railway company Buštěhrad Railway ({{lang-de|Buschtěhrader Eisenbahn}}, B.E.B). In the same year railway in direction to Chomutov was connected.

In 1872 private company Emperor Franz Joseph Railway ({{lang-de|k.k. privilegierte Kaiser-Franz-Josephs-Bahn}} operating trains between Prague and Vienna) started to operate rail transport from Cheb to České Budějovice. In 1881 station served also for railway to Nuremberg. Each company operating in Cheb had its own station house.

After fall of Austro-Hungarian Empire and declaration of independent Czechoslovakia was station renamed to Cheb, but because of huge German-speaking population in the city were all signs placed there bilingual. During Second World War, 8 April 1945, raid of American air forces was made and most of the station area, accept the main building, was destroyed. Since 1946 after the expulsion of Germans from Czechoslovakia was station named just in Czech.

Absence of new solid stanion building lasted till 1962. Design prepared in 1956-59 by architect Josef Danda (also author of Pardubice main railway station) in Brussels style declared Czech Ministry of Culture as a cultural monument.

In 2007 a new bus terminus in the front of the station was finished and serves for city public bus transport and as main bus terminus in Cheb.
