It is currently a single-track railway. As part of the "Greater Taichung Yamanote Line" plan by the Ministry of Transportation and Communication, the line is currently being upgraded to a double-track to allow for increased traffic between downtown Taichung and its coastal towns. The construction is projected to complete in 2020.[1][2] Currently, only local services run through the Chengzhui Line.[3] Stations
