Early careerHis career began as an audio engineer and record producer. He co-founded Courtyard Studios with business partner Bryce Edge where many groups associated with the shoegaze movement, including the likes of Chapterhouse and Slowdive, recorded albums.[1] RadioheadWhile Radiohead was still under their original name On A Friday, Hufford was present for their performance at Jericho Tavern in Oxford on 8 August, 1991, becoming the group's manager following the concert. The exact circumstances that led to Hufford's attendance and his relationship with the group prior to the performance are uncertain.[2] References1. ^1 {{Cite web |url=https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/features/chris-hufford-the-man-who-guided-radiohead-to-stardom-has-his-own-chillout-project-to-shout-about-463589.html |title=Chris Hufford: The man who guided Radiohead to stardom has his own chillout project to shout about |author=Andy Gill |authorlink= |date=30 August 2007 |publisher=Independent Print Limited |work=The Independent |accessdate=6 October 2017 }} 2. ^{{cite book |last=Randall |first=Mac |date=1 February 2012 |title=Exit Music: The Radiohead Story Updated Edition |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=0q9bTJp2Bi4C&lpg=PT82&pg=PT82#v=onepage |location= |publisher=Backbeat Books |page=82 |isbn=9781458471475 |author-link= }} External links
