He previously served as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from the 108th District, serving from Jan. 9, 2017 until Jan. 14, 2019. Cox represented the 102nd district from 2005 from 2011. He unsuccessfully ran for the United States House of Representatives in Georgia's 7th congressional district in 2010.[1] He is a member of the Republican Party.
