Active since 2006, the band has built up a reputation for itself as being one of the leading rock group emerging from Jharkhand . Their maiden album Chance Hope Choices was released in 2011 which was praised by Drexel University-Philadelphia monthly newsletter Triangle . Conflicting Resonance won the rock competition at Bitotsav-2012 the annual cultural fest of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra . Also the group performed at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur Spring Fest where they received fantastic crowd response. The band outnumbered 18 different bands in the " Battle Of Bands " at Nostalgia 2012 the fest of St.Xaviers Doranda by clinching the first position .[1] HistoryThe band was founded by Abhinav Tirkey and Gautam Ecka during their school days. The original lineup as from 2006 till now consists of lead guitarist Gautam ekka, vocalist Arpit Aseem, guitarist Cosmos Toppo, bassist James Minz, drummer Anurag Lakra and percussionist/Manager Abhinav Tirkey .Their debut album Chance hope Choices was priced at Rs 150 . 20 copies were sold out in two days. " It took us around 3 years to compose all the 6 songs for the album as we had no time because of our hectic academic schedule " Anurag Lakra reports The Telegraph Calcutta . All the lyrics for the album was written by Gautam Ekka. [2]InfluencesConflicting Resonance is influenced by bands like Chris Daughtry, Demonic Resurrection, Junkyard Groove, Nickelback, Scorpions and many others. ReleasesChance Hope Choices is the debut and only single album from the band which was released in 2012, despite taking 3 years to complete this album they came up with 6 solid powerful tracks through which they gained a good following fan base in India as well as abroad.The tracks are listed and described by the Drexel University-Philadelphia monthly newsletter The Triangle. Days - The song describes how looking back at a school photograph can make one feel nostalgic about the “good old days.” The song progresses seamlessly with immense melody .[3]Cant let you go - Easily the best song of the album, both lyrically and musically, “Can’t Let You Go,” has all the makings of a beautiful love ballad. Soft, mellow and immeasurably soothing, this song hits all the right notes. It works along the lines of Eric Clapton’s “Wonderful Tonight” and stays with you long after you’re done listening to it. This song is a milestone in the album as it proves the band’s versatility, making change from rock to ballad with such ease.[4]Come inside - The song, “C-m Inside”, is a song about craving for flesh and the lust for the sinful deed. It makes tremendous use of puns (evident in the song title itself) . It is a song with a very groovy feel, heavy bass, wicked vocals and crazy drums.[5]The Secret - The penultimate song on the album, “The Secret,” talks about experiencing failure — feeling like a loser but still moving on with a never-give-up attitude. With a darker tone in the music relative to the rest of the album, this song has a heavy-metal feel to it with amplified distortion and one of the best guitar solos in the album. Also, growling is used very efficiently in the song to bring out the dark undertone. This song is a second milestone in the album .[6]Epitaph Of An Addict - This last song on the album is classic progressive rock. “Epitaph of an Addict,” inspired by Sir Thomas Gray’s poem Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard describes the epitaph of a person who died a premature death. It starts off slow but picks up with great tempo right after the first verse and progresses through until the end with great intensity.
