It forms a lignotuber and has powdery, white to pink, weathering light brown to grey bark that is rough and tessellated at the base of the tree. It forms adult leaves that are alternate with a petiole which is {{convert|0.3|to|1.2|cm|in|1|}} long. The leaf blade has a lanceolate and sometimes undulate shape and is {{convert|4|to|10|cm|in|1|abbr=on}} long and {{convert|0.6|to|2.2|cm|in|2|abbr=on}} wide.
