The Cradle Mountain Run is an 82 km long Australian ultramarathon that traverses the Overland Track.[1] It is Australia's oldest endurance race and has run annually from 1980. Entrance is highly controlled due to environmental concerns, making it a prestige event.[2][3]

The men's race record of 7:25 is held by Andy Kromar and the women's race record of 8:13 is held by Hanny Allston.[4]

Course

The Cradle Mountain Run follows the Overland track through the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, Tasmania. The run covers an estimated 82km along a track that reaches altitudes of over 1000 meters.[5]
