Edgington stated, "In India, cricket is absolutely part of everyone's DNA. The things that people are about in India are Bollywood and cricket. The challenge was to make it appeal to people who only have a little familiarity with the game, but also to appeal to Indian audiences who don't need it to be explained what a googly is."
