RadioU primarily plays alternative and heavier style of Christian rock music across several genres, with the most played genre including pop-rock, hard rock, punk, and hip-hop, as well as electronic/dance, and hardcore/metal music. The station is accessible worldwide through their website (radiou.com) and can be seen through their music TV stream, RadioU TV. at this present time the christian rock genre hasn't been classified as a radio format officially in radio Broadcasting history, there a very small and select few christian rock radio stations across the whole United states outside of Columbus and other station affiliate areas around ohio, Radio U is one example of how christian rock can reach a similar fan base much like the secularized Active rock and alternative Rock programmed radio scene. RadioURadioU is owned and operated by Spirit Communications, Inc., a non-profit organization funded completely by listener donations. RadioU does not have commercial sponsors and is kept running only by listener donations received during its twice-yearly on-air fundraisers and through local special events such as the RadioU Annual 5K.
