Cuthbertson v. Parichehr case is a Medical Ethics case that happened in 2013 in Canada.^[1] Parichehr was the legal guardian of Mr. Hassan Rasouli and his wife who is a physician. She argued that the end-of-life support should not be disconnected from her husband based on what Dr. Brian Cuthbertson and Dr. Gordon Brenfeld had suggested. Hassan was an Ontario man who was comatose after he had undergone a minor brain surgery.^[2]^[3]

The Supreme Court of Canada issued its decision in October 2013 in favour of Parichehr. This decision has affected how physicians in Canada treat seriously ill patients.^[4]
