Dalmoak House, sometimes known as Dalmoak Castle, is a Category A listed building in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland.[1] It was built to a Tudor Gothic design by the architect Alexander Watt[1] in 1866–68 for John Aiken of Glasgow,[3] a wealthy wine and spirits dealer, and was given the name "Brandy Castle" by locals.[2]

The house includes large stained glass windows in the central hall by W. G. and J. J. Kier, who also worked on Glasgow Cathedral; these depict mythological scenes and, in the central window, the Red Hand of Ulster. The house was converted into a nursing home in the 1980s.[3]

John Aiken is buried in a huge and elaborate mausoleum on the north slopes of the Glasgow Necropolis reflecting his huge wealth.
