The ninth season of the French version of Dancing with the Stars started in October 2018 on TF1. It is be hosted by Camille Combal and Karine Ferri. Nico Archambault did not reprise his role as judge and was replaced by Patrick Dupond. Fauve Hautot also left the panel of the judges to return as a dancer and was replaced by the winner of Danse avec les stars (France season 2), Shy'm. Jean-Marc Généreux and Chris Marques both returned as judges.^[1]

Host

This season will be the first without Sandrine Quétier, after eight years of hosting the show because she left TF1 for beginning a career in theater.

On June 29, 2018, Karine Ferri was announced as the co-host.^[4] She used to be a contestant of the show in 2016 for the season 7.

Panel

The June 21st, the dancer Patrick Dupond announce his participation to the show as a new member of the panel^[5]^[6] replacing Nicolas Archambault.

The following days, Fauve Hautot first dancer on the show, then member of the panel is announced out of the panel for coming back as a dancer.^[7] For replacing her, Shy'm winner of season 2.

Contestant

Like every years, rumors around the casting are numerous. Miss France 2016 and Miss Universe 2016, Iris Mittenaere is one of the first name to come up.^[8]

Then a large number of people are cited : the actors Clément Rémiens,^[9] Anouar Toubali, Héloïse Martin, the TV Host Énora Malagré, the singers Lio,^[10] Doc Gynéco, Lââm, Lisandro Cuxi and Gabriel Gros from the band Kids United, the rugbyman Vincent Moscato, the soccer player Basile Boli,^[11] but also, the journalist and former first lady of France, Valérie Trierweiler, and Pamela Anderson.^[12]^[13]
