Originally from Windsor, Ontario, Merheje began performing comedy in the Windsor-Detroit area.[3] He has since performed at venues including Just For Laughs, the Halifax Comedy Festival, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.[3] In 2015, he had his own stand-up special on The Comedy Network.[4] He also has a recurring role as Dave Bechara in the television sitcom Mr. D,[5] and was featured in an episode of the Netflix stand-up comedy series Comedians of the World.[1] Merheje has also performed with other Canadian comedians of Middle Eastern descent, including Ali Badshah and Ali Hassan, in the touring We Ain't Terrorists comedy show.[6] References1. ^1 [https://exclaim.ca/comedy/article/comedians_of_the_world_canada_en_-k_trevor_wilson_deanne_smith_ivan_decker_dave_merheje "Comedians of the World (Canada EN): K.
