It is the company's first model, which was presented in April 2014 at the "Top Marques" in Monaco.[1] The sports car is being built in Silverstone, England. The base of the sports car is the Jaguar XKR built up to 2014 and its V8 engine. The AJ-V8 engine has {{convert|92.5x93|mm|2|abbr=on}} bore and stroke, 5000 cc, and has {{convert|375|kW|hp|0|abbr=on}}. The automatic transmission has six gears. The maximum speed is {{convert|250|km/h|mph|0|abbr=on}}. The car accelerates from zero to {{convert|60 |mph|km/h|0|abbr=on}} in 4.8 seconds. The vehicle is similar to the Aston Martin DB5 and DB6.[2] Unusual for such a vehicle is the large tailgate. The Speedback is available with either 2 or 2+2 seats. In the luggage compartment there is an additional folding bench, which can be folded out to the picnic. The carriage is {{convert|4.77|m|in|abbr=on}} long, including mirrors, {{convert|2.09|m|in|abbr=on}} wide and {{convert|1.32|m|in|abbr=on}} high.
