An album featuring these, named Deadpool (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), was released on February 12, 2016. It reached number 30 on the US Billboard 200, and topped the soundtrack list from Billboard. DevelopmentIn January 2016, Holkenborg confirmed that he would compose the score for Deadpool.[1] The composition mainly utilized 80's synthesizers that added to the immersion. Holkenborg used an ARP 2600 and a Synclavier, for Deadpool's 'riffs' and battles, while an Oberheim is mainly for more emotional scenes. A complete orchestra was mainly used for Colussus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, to give feeling and honor from previous films.[2] Additional songsThe soundtrack also includes "Deadpool Rap" by YouTube personalities TeamHeadKick, featuring updated lyrics that reference the film rather than the video game,[3] "Shoop" by Salt-N-Pepa, "X Gon' Give It to Ya" by DMX, and more. ReleaseThe soundtrack album was released digitally on February 12, 2016, featuring both Holkenborg's score and the additional songs. Physical copies of the soundtrack became available through Milan Records on March 4, 2016.[4] Commercial performanceThe soundtrack debuted at number 30 on the Billboard 200, selling 18,000 units in the first week.[5] Track listing{{Track listing| collapsed = | headline = Track listing | extra_column = Performed by | total_length = 1:08:12 | title1 = Angel of the Morning | extra1 = Juice Newton | length1 = 4:12 | title2 = Maximum Effort | length2 = 2:08 | title3 = Small Disruption | length3 = 1:12 | title4 = Shoop | extra4 = Salt-N-Pepa | length4 = 4:08 | title5 = Twelve Bullets | length5 = 2:50 | title6 = Man in a Red Suit | length6 = 2:20 | title7 = Liam Neeson Nightmares | length7 = 1:56 | title8 = Calendar Girl | note8 = 1999 Remastered Version | extra8 = Neil Sedaka | length8 = 2:37 | title9 = The Punch Bowl | length9 = 5:55 | title10 = Back to Life | length10 = 2:12 | title11 = Every Time I See Her | length11 = 0:54 | title12 = Deadpool Rap | extra12 = TeamHeadKick | length12 = 3:25 | title13 = Easy Angel | length13 = 2:31 | title14 = Scrap Yard | length14 = 1:02 | title15 = This Place Looks Sanitary | length15 = 6:50 | title16 = Watership Down | length16 = 4:10 | title17 = X Gon' Give It to Ya | note17 = Radio Edit | extra17 = DMX | length17 = 3:37 | title18 = Going Commando | length18 = 3:46 | title19 = Let's Try to Kill Each Other | length19 = 1:00 | title20 = Stupider When You Say It | length20 = 2:24 | title21 = Four or Five Moments | length21 = 0:54 | title22 = A Face I Would Sit On | length22 = 3:07 | title23 = Careless Whisper | extra23 = George Michael | length23 = 5:02 }} Performed by The Hollywood Studio Symphony.
