He was assassinated on 22 March 2016. [2] The assassination was reported internationally[3] and continues to be discussed in the South Africa media.[4] Perth-based Mineral Commodities Limited (MRC), a mining company planning to min the area, denied any link to the murder.[5] There has been no arrest in connection with the murder.[6] It has been claimed that the police sabotaged the investigation.[7] See also
