}}Denwan ({{lang-tr|Çörekli}}) is a Yazidi village located in the Midyat district of the Mardin Province in southeastern Turkey. The village is located ca. {{convert|15|km|mi}} southeast of Midyat in the Tur Abdin region of southeastern Anatolia.[1][2][3][4]

Denwan is today mostly an abandoned Yazidi village. The village had exclusively Yazidi population. Almost all Yazidis from Turkey have fled, especially to Germany, because they were oppressed and expelled by the Kurds and Turks.[5][6] Yazidis who trying to return to their village are threatened by paramilitary and islamic-fundamentalistic groups.[7]

Location

Denwan is located ca. {{convert|2|km|mi}} southeast of the Yazidi village Koçan and ca. {{convert|2|km|mi}} southwest of the Yazidi village Kefnas.
