It is Ahmed's last book and is considered to be one of the best works by him.[1][2] HistoryThe book was first published on 11 May 2012 as a chapter in Bengali Daily Prothom Alo. It was published as a book in 2013 from Anyaprokash.[3] CriticismThe book was criticised by political parties and the government for its bold representations of the country's post liberation war incidents. The novel highlights the most secret and scandalous parts of the country's history.[1] Upon its first publication in daily Prothom Alo, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam brought some sentences of the novel to the notice of the High Court of Bangladesh, which he found controversial.
