Sir Dinshah Fardunji Mulla CIE MA. LLB or Dinshaw Mulla (1868-1934) was an Indian author of legal reference books. D.F Mulla was an Attorney-at-Law of Bombay high court and was a professor of law at Government Law School, Bombay and a Member of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, India. Mulla was knighted 5 April 1930.[1] He served as Privy Counsellor from 1930[2] to 1934 during the reign of King George V, serving on the Judicial Committee from January 1931.[3] He was the assistant editor of Pollock’s Commentaries on Indian Contract Act.[4] Though he belonged to the Parsi religion, he published on Sharia law{{Citation needed|date=December 2016}}. His Principles of Mahomedan Law is a well-known Hanafi law text that discusses the application of sharia law in India and Pakistan.[5] Works
