释义 |
Doberus or Doberos ({{lang-grc|Δόβηρος}}) was a town of Paeonia, which Sitalces reached after crossing Mount Cercine, and where many troops and additional volunteers reached him, making up his full total.[1] Hierocles calls the town Diaborus or Diaboros (Διάβορος) and names it next to Idomenae among the towns of Macedonia Prima under the Byzantine Empire; this, coupled with the statement of Ptolemy that it belonged to the Aestraei,[2] would seem to show that Doberus was near the modern Dojran. Doberus was the seat of a bishop in antiquity. In modern times, it is a titular see of the Roman Catholic Church.[3] The site of Doberus is near the modern Bansko.[4][5] References1. ^{{Cite Thucydides|2.98, 100}} {{DGRG|title=Doberus}}{{coord|41.38249|N|22.75429|E|display=title|format=dms|source:http://dare.ht.lu.se/places/22945}}{{AncientGreece-stub}}{{RMacedonia-geo-stub}}2. ^{{Cite Ptolemy|3.13.8}} 3. ^{{Catholic-hierarchy|diocese|d2d56|Doberus (Titular See)|15 January 2019}} 4. ^{{Cite Barrington|50}} 5. ^{{Cite DARE|22945}} 5 : Geography of ancient Paeonia|Cities in ancient Macedonia|Populated places in ancient Macedonia|Former populated places in the Balkans|Titular sees in Europe |
