Their Bon-gwan was in Hwasun County, South Jeolla Province. According to the research in 2015, the number of Dongbog O clan was 72394. Their founder was {{ill|O Hyeon jwa|ja|呉賢佐}}. {{ill|O Hyeon jwa|ja|呉賢佐}} was a descendant of O Cheom ({{hanja|吳瞻}}) who came over from China to Silla during Jijeung of Silla’s reign in Silla dynasty. {{ill|O Hyeon jwa|ja|呉賢佐}} was appointed as Prince of Dongbog ({{hanja|同福君}}) during Gojong of Goryeo’s reign in Goryeo dynasty and began Dongbog O clan.[1] See also
