The '"10th Block"' of '"MIT Hostels"' is the biggest hostel of '"Manipal Institute of Technology"' having around 800 rooms. It has two wings, new(left)and old(right). It is one of the biggest hostel blocks of Asia. This block is the 2nd biggest college residential building in the whole of Asia. It’s a huge block. This hostels is not for freshers. This is a block with all types of rooms – single common, single attach, double common, triple common and even dormitories. Mainly occupied by seniors in single rooms, this block is very far from K.C. but is self-sufficient. Nearest mess '"Annapurna"' is a 2 min walk. It has its own Xerox shop. Basketball court, cricket ground , football ground and hockey ground are a 5 min walk. It houses its own gym.

• Large block, ensures access to a large number of people.
• Breezy and open corridors
• The canteen nearby serves legendary ice-lime and decent food.
• Annapurna mess is right next to the blocks
• The block have their own gym and indoor sports .
• Internet speeds are fairly consistent at 5 Mbps.

CONS

• Getting to one’s room can take a while
• Far from the college, residents of 10th block may take up to 20 minutes to walk to college.
