The 2018 New York limousine wreck is the deadliest car crash in the United States since 2009.[1] It resulted in 20 casualties (18 in the limo, 2 in the pedestrian strike.)[2] It was carrying people headed to a wedding party when the driver of the 2001 Ford Excursion Limo failed to stop at an intersection and struck a 2015 Ford Explorer SUV killing everyone in the limo and 2 people standing near the SUV.
