His Great Grand father Pandit Mannan Diwedi मन्नन द्विवेदी गजपुरी Gajpuri was India's first Balkavi, writer & Teacher of Munshi Premchand . Aakash Pandey studied Painting during his Master of Fine Arts from DAV College, Kanpur which he completed in 2001. He studied Theatre at the Bhartendu Natya Akadami Lucknow , followed by film making studies at Film and Television Institute of India, Pune in 2003. After his studies he joined film director Kundan Shah as an associate director, working in the film The Three Sisters (2005) and TV series, Parsai Kehte Hain . In 1994 he joined 'Contract Advertising India Pvt Ltd' as 'Language Head & Hindi copy writer'. In 2010 he joined SKCL, a TV production company, as its creative director. In 2011 he joined Four Lion Films as creative head .
