Abiodun Essiet (born on 3 January, 1986)is a Nigerian nurse, gender activist and community development worker. She is the Executive Director[1] of Abiodun Essiet Initiative for Girls. Early LifeAbiodun was born in Oyo town in Oyo state, but grew up in Ibadan. After her primary school, she attended United Missionary[2] Comprehensive Girls College, Molete in 2002. EducationShe studied Nursing Science at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Osun State. In 2016, she obtained her Master's degree in Public Health at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan. She also holds a diploma in Development Leadership and a certificate in Community Development Leadership and Peace Building from Coady International Institute [3], Canada. Career and Political LifeHaving acquired skills and experience in community development,project management and leadership for women. She is the Executive Director of Abiodun Essiet Initiative For Girls. She is also a member of the Board of Strong Enough Girls Empowerment Initiative[4]. In the Model ECOWAS summit 2018, she was appointed Head of State for Nigeria. She was appointed the Director of Women, Gender and Development Affairs for Africa Youth Union.
