Adi Development GroupAbout:Adi Development Group is a real estate development company in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) that focusses on investment, planning, design and management of both commercial and residential buildings. Currently, Adi Development Group has amassed a portfolio with over 10 active real estate development projects across the GTA, with projects ranging from low-rise infill master planned development to mixed use high rise. History:Founded in 2007 by brothers Tariq & Saud Adi, the company’s first office was located in Burlington, Ontario. The company’s first investments were in rental properties, but the brothers eventually started developing new properties. Being a developer of high-rise condominiums has not been without its challenges. In 2016, the company ran into controversy when the City of Burlington opposed Adi’s plans to construct the 26 story Nautique building on the Lakefront.[1] The plan to proceed with the development, however, was eventually backed and approved by the Ontario Municipal Board.[2] The company expanded into the Toronto market in 2016, landing contracts for two high-profile sites including 64 Prince Arthur Avenue Condos[3] and its Portland Street micro-condos.[4] In 2017, Adi Developments hired architectural firm, CetraRuddy of New York to design its new condo development at 64 Prince Arthur Avenue in Toronto.[5] The project has come under some public criticism lately over the fact that it had originally been proposed to be 17 stories and is now planned to be 29 stories. The company currently has nine full-time staff and an annual revenue of approximately $100 million.[6] Awards:
