Aidoru Sozai (アイドル素材; translated to Idol Material), often shortened to LoveSo, is a 7 member independent girl group based in the Philippines. Aidoru Sozai was established in January 2018 as an "indie" idol group with the goal of introducing J-Pop style performances and music to the Philippines through covers and original songs.^[1]

Each member of the group has a symbolic colour and title, representing their distinct qualities that allow them to be "Idol Material".^[2]

Aidoru Sozai debuted on September 2nd 2018, at the 1st [https://www.facebook.com/manilaidolmatsuri/ Manila Idol Matsuri] concert.^[3] They performed two original songs, titled "Ashita Wonderful" and "Sora Mo Hareru".

History

Yanachii, Jash, Hayayan, Mika, Aira, Vivi and Saachan were MNL48 aspirants in early January 2018. Yanachii, Vivi and Aira made it into the Top 200, before dropping out.^[4]

Aidoru Sozai was established in January 2018, with the 7 members coming together to form the group independently. The group first started revealing members on the 21st of March through their official Facebook account, and concluded with the reveal of their 7th member on the 27th. Aidoru Sozai's first on-stage performance was on the 28th of April at Ozine Fest 2018, where they performed covers of various J-Pop songs.^[5]

Aidoru Sozai's next big-time performance was on the 7th and 8th of July at ACX 2018 (Anime & Cosplay eXpo).^[6] Around this time, the group set up their Official YouTube page and started releasing vlogs titled '[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCER69oeEPffwy_6NJb5wNxA Loveso Channel]' - which would later in August be rebranded to become the produced segment web-series of the same name. Aidoru Sozai performed at Best of Anime 2018 as a guest performer later in August.^[7]

At the end of August the group released their first music video, for their first single 'Ashita Wonderful'.^[8] On the 2nd of September, Aidoru Sozai had their stage debut at Manila Idol Matsuri 2018, where they unveiled their official costumes and two original songs. On the same day, their single 'Ashita Wonderful' was released on various digital music platforms. Their 2nd Single 'Sora Mo Hareru' was released digitally in January 2019.^[9]
