Aleksandar Linta, born October 22, 1975, is a Serbian football manager and a former player. During his career as a footballer, he played as a defender.

Aleksandar is a holder of UEFA B and UEFA A licenses, graduated from Faculty of Sports and Sports Management in Belgrade.

Club career

Born and raised in Zemun, Belgrade, Aleksandar started his sports career at the football club Zemun, where he built himself as a player, and spent the first years of his football development, until 1994, when he played in football clubs Balkan and Belgrade until 1997.

After establishing himself, Aleksandar moved to Iceland, where he began his international career as a footballer of two Icelandic football clubs - Akranes from 1997 to 1999, and then Borgarnes, from 1999 to 2000.

After a period of several years spent on Iceland, Aleksandar got back to Europe and joined FC Zeta, Montenegro, where he stayed until 2001, when he signed for FC Mladost, Apatin.

Then, he moved back to his first club, FC Zemun, after which he again joined Icelandic football clubs - Akranes, Vikingur, KA and Thor, up until 2011, when he ended his career as a player.

Linta played for the FR Yugoslavia U15, U16 and U17 national teams.

After retiring from playing, Linta right away began a coaching career at Grundarfjordur, Iceland.

In 2014, he was appointed new coach assistant in FC Vozdovac, before making his coach debut for the FC Vojvodina, where he stayed until 2018.

In 2018, Linta took over as assistant to head coach and caretaker for Olimpija[3], Ljubljana.

Aleksandar Linta took part in national team management, for the Serbia U16 and U17.
