The Alexandre Gallery is an American art gallery Founded 1996 by Philippe Alexandre, the gallery specializes in early 20th century American modernists, particularly those affiliated with the Alfred Stieglitz group, including John Marin, Arthur Dove, Marsden Hartley, Oscar Bluemner, and Georgia O’Keeffe. The gallery was originally located on 57th street in the historic Fuller Building.[1]

Represented Artists

The Alexandre Gallery represents and exhibits numerous contemporary American artists, including New York artists Lois Dodd,[2] a partial founder of the legendary Tanager Gallery,[3] Will Barnet, [4] winner of the National Medal of Arts in 2011,[5] and Loren MacIver,[6] the first female artist ever included in the MoMA permanent collection.[7] Other notable artists include John Walker, who paints abstract landscapes of the Maine coastline,[8] and Tom Uttech, known for his shockingly detailed paintings of the wildlife and woodlands of the Precambrian Shield.[9]
