| 释义 | Born in New Jersey on February 5th 2002, Parents Kristi and Bradley Hilbert raised Alex in there care as there first son, later having Nick and Kameron Hilbert, with a new job opportunity blooming in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, the Hilbert's moved to Canonsburg PA when Alex turned 4. Hilbert's interest in soccer was very exciting for him, from there his soccer career was off and running when he turned 5 and played in the CMYSA wreck league. Later on when he turned 8, Alex was exposed to the goalkeeping position, which he adored. After a few months, Hilbert joined the Riverhounds Goalkeeping Academy, where he met Hunter Gilstrap, at the time, starting goalkeeper for the Hounds. Hilberts ability and technique soared through. Playing in the CMSYA Travel Team under his Father as coach, Hilbert played four years of travel. Then in 2013, he was approached to play with Century United, a high level cup team. Hilbert would play one year under coach Bob Straw with Century then decided to take a year off after the birth of his baby brother Kameron. In 2014, Hilbert was left on bench for Century then he was approached by Victory Express in the Fall where he took a one year offer to play, but he would only play a half as another goalkeeper was rostered as well. After the 2014/2015 season, Hilbert was offered back to Victory Express but would turn it down as he was then picked up by Sean Richter, Coach of Pittsburgh Football CLub 01 Elite team. Hilbert would play one year under 01 Elite captaining and playing every game under Coach Ritcher, helping 01 Elite win the Division 3 Title in PA West. Leaving after the season to retire in Florida for a few weeks before entering his freshmen year of high school, Hilbert would not tryout for 01 Elite due to his vacation, but was approached by Robert Diluca, manager of Pittsburgh Football Club 02 Select before he was approached agin by Ritcher, Hilbert accepted Dilucas offer and has to current day, has been the captain and starter for the 02 Select team. Hilbert did not play high school soccer his Freshman year as he was accepted to the Chelsea Football Club Academy where he would train in the academy for almost two months overseas in England. After being offered to stay and transfer to Kent F.C in Manchester to train with the semi professional squad, Hilbert turned down the offer and returned to the United States in the summer of 2017, Hilbert would tryout for the Canon McMillan High School JV and Varsity teams, making Varsity as a Sophomore but was backup to Marshal Roberston. Entering his Junior year, Hilbert over took Roberston in net and finished off his Junior season making it to the W.P.I.A.L Semi Finals losing to Seneca Valley 3-2. His Senior year has not been played at the time of this Article. Hilbert now is in his fourth year in Pittsburgh Football Club, Captaining 02 Select to a State Championship in 2018 but would get a big blow in regionals. He has signed a contract with the 02 Select team until 2020. |
