Gameplay

The game is played using combat, most likely hitting and kicking. The player (or players) start off with 3 health, but can retrieve more as the game proceeds (Maximum is 5). Losing all 3 health bars causes the player (or players) to get a game over and have to restart the boss.Completing the game ends with a That's all Folks! as you would see in a 1930's cartoon. The game is played in Actions. 4 acts to be exact. the 2nd and 4th act are short, while the 1st and 3rd are long. After each act, a little minigame will be played, completing all 3 minigame will give you the level select. (AKA boss select), A demo is planning to be released somewhere around December of 2019.

Plot

Act One

In the fictional Place called Mossy Fields, Alex, Wakes up Foxy, saying he has a surprise for the two. Alex and Foxy then Go into Chris’ Pawn Shop. It is then Foxy finds out that Alex wants to steal A Diamond at $500 Grand. As they grab it. Chris catches them, Aware of the Prophecy, (One that says Alex and Foxy will put him out of business) then tries to send them to separation and he will own them to do his bidding. Alex and Foxy beg on their knees to differ and do different. Chris then says they can go free if they collect stolen values people have stolen. They then Grab a bottle as shade n’ shot (a brawling type of finger gun mechanism) then quickly leave.

They pass through The Watery Kicks of the town. Where they fight thieves. Alex and Foxy then try to catch a bandit that won’t give in. As they get tired, This boy named “Jim” gives Alex and Foxy skateboards. Alex and Foxy get to borrow 2 skateboards.They Pay him $20 As They now have Skateboards for fast-pacing enemies. But they learn quickly that they can’t do their usual in the skateboarding fights, So they just have to catch Them through skating fast. Later, they find a tube that gives them a new power. Only One each could be obtained.

Act One Minigame: Pinball

A game of pinball will be played. To win the game, you need to collect 200 points in order to successfully win the game. Completing or failing Pinball will bring you to Act 2 eitherhow. You will be able to retry these games when you complete the entirety of Alex in Pawn Shop Pawns

Act Two

After they leave the watery Kicks of the town, Alex and Foxy then have to go to the Rocky and Cave parts of the city, Bringing their trusty skateboards along. But they suddenly learn quickly that they’re skateboards aren’t allowed, so they have to use 2 minecarts instead. The upper levels have 3 bosses. This is because Alex and Foxy fall downward as they get led into a pit-trap. This then Leads them to the Lower Levels. They learn more bosses hideout down there. And the Upper Levels would have been useless to go across anyway. So they make their way back up while they tackle more bosses (And Mini-bosses along the way)!

But meanwhile, in the pawn shop. Chris reveals to the viewer he tricked Alex and Foxy into doing dirty work for him.

Act Two Minigame: Find Me!

After Act Two, you will be brought to once again another minigame. In the minigame, Find Me, you have to find 4 cookies before time runs out, the time is 1 minute sharp. they will be peeking out of bushes, and you have to click them 2 times before they disappear, once time is up, you will be taken to Act Three.

Act Three

Meanwhile,

Alex and Foxy finally get up out of the Rocky FIelds and into a Beach. Which more (4) Thieves lay. After defeating those guys, They then go to the pawn shop. Happy their quest is complete, And they’d be out of the mess in a few minutes. But as they enter. They find out that The Shadow (Who had been a shadow secretly following them) Appears in front. Saying they need to pass him first. Unlocking “The Shadow” Part of the Game. They can just Skip him, but if they want A 100% on the game, they HAVE to complete Shadow. If they don’t, they’ll have a 95% and the extras will NOT BE unlocked!

Act Three Minigame: Train Fight!

After you complete Act Three, you will be taken to another minigame, but you will be on a standing still train. You will fight a robber in under 2 minutes. Once again, if you complete or fail, you will be taken to Act Four

Act IV

They then go into Chris’ office, Where they find out Chris has been lying to them to steal from the other people which is why they fought. Alex and Foxy become enraged and fight Chris, alas defeating him, the prophecy comes true. Alex and Foxy leave the pawn shop, only to be surrounded by the bandits and people they fought, Alex and Foxy apologize for stealing from them and chris had ended up tricking them. Then suddenly, people start explaining the prophecy, and the “Bandits” understand, And they become heroes, starting an parade of the prophecy. Ending the game…..

Boss Select

You collect Boss Select if you´ve completed all 3 minigame correctly and fully. You turn Boss Select on in the settings, and a boss select level will be loaded. It has every option of every boss (including deleted and scrapped bosses). If you´re playing with a friend, all you have to do is turn on the 2P on the bottom right and connect the second controller. You can even choose the minigames...

Once you choose the boss, on the top right, the files for each animation will be shown. As well as part of the game's code

Main Characters

Alex - Alex is the main protagonist in Alex in: Pawn Shop Pawns. He has a greedy personality, but a big heart!

Foxy - Foxy is the second main protagonist who is the opposite of Alex, he is playable through cooperative gaming. He is worried for Alex when they get into trouble, he tries to talk Alex out of stuff, and even is understanding when they steal a diamond that gets them into the mess.

Chris - Chris is the main antagonist of the game. Chris is not playable. The prophecy is what drove him insane, as hearing of his story later on..

Shadow - Shadow is the secondary antagonist. He is the shadow that had followed Alex and Foxy throughout their dangerous journey.

Fake Giveaway

Before the game was even in development, a fake giveaway had been posted on rafflecopter.com. ^[1]. Of course, no one believed it. Since the game was barely in development, no one entered. And the fake giveaway was canceled January 1st, 2019, it had originally been aimed to go until March 29th, 2019.

History

Alex had to upload the game to Game Jolt.com to set up trophies for the full game, as well as get everything ready. ^{[2] [3]}. He soon then realized he had to make it a demo copy, with him having trouble. He soon drew frames (as the game was rubberhose animation.) He started on the Alex and Foxy animations, then went to level designing, then went to the minigames. After 15% of the game was finished, he then decided to try to announce it on his wattpad page with his Stunts of Dare contest ^[4], introducing the game's main characters. Along with a Cuphead and Sonic the Hedgehog crossover ^[5]. Alex started off with a mini-demo, with no boss, just Alex being able to stand and walk. Alex has announced that there will be a 2nd version of the demo that features more ability, such as jumping and sliding (motion), and maybe even a mini-boss
