Alistair Paton worked in banking in Melbourne Australia with Deutsche Bank <> 1996-1998, he then moved to CBA as a foreign exchange trader in Sydney before raising $250,000 to found a carbon credit and emissions derivatives trading business in 1999. The business sold credits in Japan, the US, the Middle East, China and Europe and was valued at $280m before he exited the business in 2003. Alistair was bought out of M1NT by Sino Entertainment and Unify Talent Ltd in what was described by Skaden's Hong Kong law form as a 'brutal hostile takeover' in 2014. Alistair is married to Theresa with two children Victor and Felicity and resides in Queensland Australia.
