During the initial stages of the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS), the Al Wafa School for Capacity Development, previously known as the Intellectual Education Institute, was established in 1984 in order to provide services for children with intellectual disabilities. Over the years, the services provided by the school have continued to evolve, and now offer a distinct set of educational and therapeutic programs and services. With a record of achieving positive results in various aspects of student development, the school provides services for children with intellectual disabilities ages 5 to 16. In order to provide a more comprehensive set of services.[1][2][3]
