| 释义 | Always-on AI is a term coined by Aidoc CEO, Elad Walach [1] ,describing the next generation of AI that is currently being developed for the field of medicine, and particularly, for radiology. The term derives from the idea that an Artificial Intelligence (AI) solution should be "Always-on" or "Always running" in the background, notifying a physician of an abnormality in medical imaging within minutes of the patient leaving the scanner. This represents a new approach in the way that technology is integrated with medical imaging, with an emphasis on increasing radiologists’ efficiency while at the same time, improving the quality of patient care. Always-on AI ensures that radiologists are focusing their attention to increase their efficiency, and for acute cases, help them get to the right patients on time. A radiologist doesn't need to click outside their existing workflow or request its services - the notifications are automatically pushed to them as they work. The goal is for radiologists to rest assured that the technology has their back and is automatically analyzing every scan that comes through any kind of imaging modality. This type of technology can significantly influence the radiology workflow and manage the increasing data overload more seriously than previous technologies in medical imaging, like CAD. |
