Amy Barriga Amy Barriga- Cuban-American, born June 12,1978 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was abandoned as a new born baby. After spending 6 months in foster care she was adopted. When she was 18 years old she found out that she was left in a telephone booth. She began her search for her biological family in 1996. She appeared on numerous news stations, radio shows and in newspapers over the years. In December 2013, Amy, known then as Amy Cox, started a blog, youtube channel and facebook page for her search. She posted a video searching for her biological family that went viral. She had many leads but they all led no where. In late 2015 Amy was connected with CeCe Moore, a Genetic Genealogist who used Amy's DNA to trace her family. In December 2015 Amy was reunited with her family via messages and phone calls. In September 2016 The Dr. Oz Show flew Amy to New York City to be on the show and discuss how DNA led her to her family. Dr. Oz surprised Amy with two special guests, her sisters. Amy currently lives in Los Angeles and is a mother to 3 daughters. She is an actress, writer and producer. She has appeared in many movies and tv shows and has performed at famous venues such as the Comedy Store. Amy is the host of United International Film Festival and Visionary News. References
