Ander Gunn (born 1932) is a photographer based in Cornwall. Gunn is best recognised for his photographs of well know Cornish artists[1] such as Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, Patrick Heron, Roger Hilton, Rose Hilton and Karl Weschke. Gunn has been based in Cornwall since the 1950s. He is the brother of the poet Thom Gunn, with whom he jointly produced the book Positives in 1966. [2] Life and careerBoth of his parents were journalists, his father was Herbert Bert Gunn. When he was a teenager his mother killed herself. Gunn set out photographing authors and actors in London and moved to Cornwall in the 1950s where he has photographed miners, landscapes and the sea.
