Andrew Dunkerley is an Australian radio and sporting host, who is known publicly as "Dunks".

Early life

Andrew was on born on 4 January 1984 in Hobart, Tasmania. He relocated with his family to Melbourne at an early age and grew up in the south east suburbs of Melbourne, where he attended De La Salle College for most of his schooling life.

Radio

Andrew began working at Gold 104.3 & Mix 101.1 in Melbourne when he was 17 years old yrs old as a junior promotions team member. He was the put on Mid-Dawns 2 years later (12am-5am) on Gold 104.3 and then shifted to Mix 101.1 to host late nights(now called KISS 101.1[1]) and also doing regular shifts on Mix 106.5 in Sydney [2] After working with ARN for a number of years, Dunkerley made the move to Jindabyne, NSW to take on a full-time role with Snow FM[3] After about 6 months of on-air work, Dunkerley was promoted to the Program Director for Snow FM & 2XL. In late 2009 Dunkerley left Snow FM and joined Southern Cross Austereo in Orange as breakfast co-host on Star FM 105.9[4] Dunkerley left Star FM in 2010 and relocated back to Melbourne where he joined SEN & MTR [5] and has also featured in many podcasts [6]

Andrew returned to radio in 2013 with RSN in Melbourne as a casual floater and then in 2014 he returned to Capital Radio Network as Program Director once again[7] Andrew was nominated as a finalist for 'Best Program Director' at the 2015 ACRAs (Australian Commercial Radio Awards) [8]

In September 2016 Andrew was appointed General Manager of Radio Snowy Mountains [9] where he remains in the position to this day

Sports Reporter/Corespondent

Andrew is often heard as a corespondent on FoxSports Fox Sports for the Formula 1 race in Melbourne, Australia.
