释义 |
HistoryAnd The Boys is an American indie rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 2016. It consists of vocalist Brady Heyen, guitarist Aaron Parke, bassist Noah Moyers, and drummer Abraham Fongnaly. Their debut single, "Hate You Now" was released in 2017, and their first EP "In the Garden of Galactos" was released in 2018. The band met while studying at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, except Fongnaly who they met after moving to Nashville. The band's first show was in the university's coffee shop, Barefoots Joe.[1] Whatever the style, the characteristic mood of And The Boy's music is evoked by Parke and Heyen's distinctive songwriting: lyrically melancholy and symbolic, the vocals melodic but understated. New Country for New Nashville described And the Boys sound as "fusing bits of ’90s alternative with ’00s garage rock, retro harmonies, and modern slacker vibes.."[2] FormationHeyen, Parke, and Moyers met their freshmen year of college after being introduced at a party by Tesla rising star Pat Daniels[3]. After multiple failed bands, they moved to Nashville, Tennessee in order to concentrate on music. While at his girlfriend's house in Nashville, Parke met drummer Abraham Fongnaly, who had previously collaborated with That's My Kid and Sister Kit. Fongnaly joined the band and used his connections in the industry to get the band their first gig. In November 2017, the band was forced to cancel a show after the lead singer of the band FLYCO had a lung collapse on stage. No civil or criminal charges have been filed against any member of the band.
