Anna Clendening is an American singer, songwriter, and Vine Internet personality from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She is currently signed to East West Records and working on her EP, Waves.

Vine personality

Anna Clendening was born and raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In 2013 she posted her rendition of “Gas Pedal” by Sage the Gemini on Vine. It soon went viral and she began posting more mini covers on Vine.[1] In 2014, she competed on season 9 of America's Got Talent, an audition video that also went viral[2]

In 2014, she had over 1.2 million Vine followers.[3] In 2015, she was nominated for a Shorty Award for Best Vine Musician.[4]

Mental health awareness

Anna has been very open about her struggles with anxiety and depression. When she appeared on America’s Got Talent she shared that her anxiety had kept her bedridden for months prior[6]. She also regularly shares her experiences with her own mental health on social media to help break the stigma around mental illness and educate others.[7]
