Anna Salman Dar is a young emerging Pakistani musician and songwriter. She made her debut on Season 4 of Nescafe Basement in The All Girl Band. She released her first track Middle of Nowhere in January 2019.

Early Life

Salman was born on September 18, 1998 in Lahore, Pakistan, where she attended Lahore Grammar School. Her love for music began when she was about 10.^[1]. Growing up, her role model has been Taylor Swift, whose songs she regularly covers.

Career

2014-2017

Salman made her debut in The All Girl Band during Season 4 of Nescafe Basement. The band was brought together by Xulfi. She was on the vocals for their cover of John Newman's song Love Me Again. The band later performed at TedxIslamabad. In 2017, the band collaborated with Khaadi and performed Choo Lia Aasman. The band would return to collaborate with Khaadi and singer Meesha Shafi to release a song on Mother's Day.

2018-Present

In March 2018, Salman performed at Pakistani radio show eBuzzToday. She released a mashup of Laree Chooti by Xulfi and Are You With Me by Lost Frequencies in December 2018 with the band which was praised. She performed released her first solo track with Levi's Live Pakistan ^[2] called Middle of Nowhere ^[3] in early 2019. She has been nominated for a Lux Style Awards in the Best Emerging Talent category for her song ^[4]
