Anthony Rogers (American: born June 29, 1986) is a St. Louis, Missouri artist. Early lifeRogers was born and raised in O'Fallon, Missouri. He went to Fort Zumwalt North High School and Fort Zumwalt West High School CareerWriterRogers first major viral article was in 2014 at the age of 27 with the major online publication Thought Catalog (the site attracts 25 million monthly unique visitors). On a satire article titled “Ferguson, Missouri Looks Like a Rap Video”[1]. Which got him blacklisted from writing within the first 4 months of publishing articles. The article has over 100 million views at this time. Harvard University publications like Nieman Labs wrote about the article [2] along with several other major publications from around the world because it was taken seriously as a news article.[3] ComedianRogers then started doing stand up comedy. He was first asked to tour the West Coast of the United States of America with a comedy duo in several states starting in Seattle, Washington, at a Cannabis Farmers Market. He then toured North America. In 2017, Anthony made press again from his comedy.[4] St. Louis,MO companies Vess Soda and Red Hot Riplets discontinued promotional deals they had with Rogers after bad local press.[5] And then again with his friends' parody city page called the City of Saint Louis. Where he again received press with the other admins for making fun of cities surrounding St. Louis.[6] Actor / DirectorAnthony’s first film role came in 2016 when he was cast in the film Rampage: President Down as a FBI Agent[7] by Uwe Boll the director of the film after becoming friends on Facebook. Anthony has 3 movies that he produced and directed set for release on Amazon Prime Video this summer.[8] Podcast HostIn August 2017 he was picked up by a Texas Rock station[9]. He interviewed Jordan Belfort the real The Wolf of Wall Street, members of Buckcherry, Sublime, The Black Dahlia Murder, porn stars Kendra Sutherland, Nikki Delano, creator of Sharknado, witches, self proclaimed time traveler. He went from afternoon shift to morning show within months. Anthony and Bruce Sweeten were fired for making fun of the stations other disc jockey's to the point of firing and hiring the show until eventually being locked out of their logins and removed from station. In 2019, Anthony started Anthony Rogers presents[10] where he has talked to people from NASA, The Sandlot, The Ataris, and several other guests on his podcast he runs with his friend and producer Bruce Sweeten in St. Louis. |
