In 2007, Antipope played their first live show and continued performing live during the following years. In the spring of 2008, Antti J. Karjalainen joined the band as a second guitarist so that the band could present their more complicated compositions live. In the meantime, the band wrote material for their first official publication, Chaosmos EP. The publication of the EP was shadowed by the death of Jyri Palmu in June 2008. Palmu died from heart failure caused by a genetic heart condition. A few months after Palmu's death, Tuska E. joined Antipope as a drummer. During the album production process, the bass guitarist Santtu Heinilehto left the band due to lack of motivation for band activities. Mikko Myllykangas handeled the bass players duties for the live shows supporting 3 Eyes of Time. Between the years 2014–2016 the band took a break from recording and touring activities. By the late 2016, the long standing member of the band, Juho Rikberg left Antipope to pursue other musical goals.
