The Austrian Business Aviation Association (ABAA) is a non-profit organization and is the trade association for companies operating in Austrian business aviation. The ABAA is a member of the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA).

History

The association was originally founded in 2010 by Caspar Einem and Martin Lener (CEO of Tyrolean Jet Services). After the association was not active for some time, it was again deleted in 2014 from the register. In December 2016, the association was founded again. The founders were Martin Lener (CEO of Tyrolean Jet Services), Florian Samsinger (CEO of MAGNUM FBO), Irina Samsinger (Marketing Director of MAGNUM FBO), and Darko Cvijetinovic (Deputy COO of MJET). At the second founding, the statutes of the association were broadened to the effect that now not only aircraft operator can become members, but all companies and individuals active in the industry.^[1]^[2]^[3]

Mission

The Austrian Business Aviation Association (ABAA) is a professional alliance whose mission it is to promote the interests and communicate the concerns of business aviation companies (non-scheduled commercial air transportation) in the regulatory and economic environment in Austria, in the European Union as well as at an International level.

In particular, the ABAA acts as a point of contact to Austrian authorities, regulatory bodies, government offices and relevant institutions representing the interests of its members in order to to be heard in legislative and rule making processes. The objective of the ABAA is to maintain an environment in which business aviation can grow and secure workable solutions to all issues affecting business aviation.^[4]
