Avi Quijada (born 07 January 1982) is a Venezuelan film and television writer and producer. She is a Digital Content Producer at Big Light Productions^[1]. Early Life

Avi Quijada was born on 07 January 1982 in El Tigre, Venezuela. She attended Cornell High School in Coraopolis, PA as an exchange student and graduated from the Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB), where she earned a bachelor's degree in Social Communications, and from the AFI Conservatory, where she earned a master of fine arts in producing.

Career

Latin America

Quijada has a diverse portfolio of productions that include documentaries, advertisement and narrative productions. She directed and produced the documentary Margarita: Leyendas en Dos Tiempos^[2], which was selected for national broadcast in her native Venezuela. As part of the independent production company Unolink, she was the first producer to create entertainment content for "Antesala"^[3][4][5] and "Vida"^[6] - the first commercial digital networks in Latin America. Quijada also worked with renown Venezuelan director/producer [https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0753858/?ref_=nv_sr_1 Diego Risquez] in the creation of his film Francisco de Miranda.^[7] She was also a senior producer at the On-Air department at HBO Latin America, where she developed numerous promotional campaigns for the brand, and became the first producer for their Caribbean feeds.^{[8][9][10][11]}

The X-Files

In 2008, she was named Editor-In-Chief of X-Files News, the first official fan news website authorized by 20th Century Fox to advertise The X-Files franchise.^[12] There, she became an authority in fan and social media relations^{[13][14][15][16]} and as a writer for the website, she covered numerous conventions, charity events, and was participant of the promotion push for the revival of the show in 2015.^[17]

USA and Europe

As part of the American Film Institute Conservatory, she produced numerous short films, including the awarded Just Like Her^[18][19], with Nicholle Tom and Michael Gross. She continued her career in this institution, becoming a mentor and lecturer for the Producing discipline. For Frank Spotnitz' Big Light Productions, Quijada produced international social media campaigns for three seasons of the CBS/TF1/Global TV drama Ransom.
