She is married to Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu known by the stage name Bobi Wine, a musician and politician serving as the Member of Parliament of Uganda for Kyaddondo East constituency^[1]. She is the author of " Golden Memories of a Village Belle" published in 2012^[2] , she is the founder of Caring Hearts Uganda^[3] and is known for her philanthropy work on cancer and HIV/AIDS awareness, girl child education and malaria eradication. She has also worked as an executive director of ghetto president reality television show that aired on UBC Television^[4]

Background and Education

Barbie was born on the 7 September 1985, in Ntungamo district, South Western Uganda. Barbara Kyagulanyi attended Bweranyangi girls school for her high school education, and went on to study Social work and Social Administration at Makerere University

Work Experience

In 2003 she worked as a sales personnel for a cosmetics company. In 2013, she started and founded her NGO Caring Heart Uganda^[5] that focuses on raising the standard of living of young people through the promotion of sustainable development, life-long education, personal development and entrepreneurial skills.

Awards

Barbara was awarded for her vocational Service Award by the Bugolobi Rotaract Club^[6]
